And we’re growing fast About the role We’re looking for a Caseworker to transform the lives of asylum seekers and refugees by supporting them to confidently navigate their new life in the UK and move towards independence – from accessing stable housing in the Private Rented Sector to understanding key systems and pathways to employment, all the while leveraging your strengths and building innovative solutions to better support our members every step of the way. You’ll be joining a team of values-driven and creative Caseworkers while being individually responsible for supporting a caseload of people referred to Beam - our “members”. This role will support our Windsor & Maidenhead caseload and requires travel to the region twice a week. The rest of the time can be worked from home, with quarterly trips to our London office. After an immersive training period, you’ll help our members to picture a brighter future before guiding them through concrete steps to achieve stability and their goals. Check out 'A day in the life' of a Caseworker on Instagram here and here You’ll be Supporting vulnerable individuals - using our AI-powered caseworker technology and your excellent caseworker skills to empower members and set them up for success in a new life in the UK. Collaborating and managing relationships with stakeholders - communicating and working closely with Resettlement teams and councils to advocate for members and ensure practical support that helps residents move into housing and work quickly. Delivering in-person group sessions – running workshops in asylum seeker hotels on key topics like the Benefits System, life in the UK, employment, and the Private Rented Sector. Wearing your problem-solving hat - the people we support have unique barriers and you’ll regularly research and find creative ways to overcome them and hunt down the best opportunities for progression. Working towards targets - ensuring measurable progress and impact in the lives of our members through secured homes, job starts and more. Harnessing technology to amplify your impact - Homelessness is on the rise and we’re supporting more people than ever before - you’ll learn to harness platforms like G-Suite and AI tools to increase efficiencies and ultimately better support your members. Building and owning relationships with a network of local employers and landlords - ensuring they are aware of members we support, and regularly collaborating to source opportunities for our members. Who we’re looking for Confident and have strong communication skills - you’ll set boundaries and clearly communicate with a diverse group of people from members and landlords to internal stakeholders and our government partners. Compassionate - you’ll need to be equipped with strong listening skills, genuine compassion and a super positive attitude to support members navigating very challenging times. Excellent relationship-building, with presentation and communication abilities - working with Local Authorities, internal teams, and external stakeholders. Adaptable and resilient - you’re someone who’s energised by ever-changing and fast-paced environments. An ‘ideas person’ - changing lives is not easy and you’re someone who loves hard challenges, driven to find new and better ways of doing things. Experience supporting vulnerable individuals on a 1- 1 basis is required. Ability to travel to Windsor & Maidenhead twice a week is required, with the rest of the week working remotely and quarterly trips to our London office.
