What you will do in your working day
Principle Accountabilities:
* Implement inflatable events and activity across the Apex group.
* Communicate and liaise with all Apex 360 Staff and Apex Franchisees so that all projects where possible are delivered to an outstanding quality across the Apex Network.
* Inform Franchisees of developments across events and camps relating to the inflatables.
* Event delivery.
Communication:
* Communicate with franchisees and customers.
Team Work and Motivation:
* Be supportive and encouraging of others across the Apex Franchise Network: help to build co-operation by setting an example and showing a flexible approach to delivering team results; contribute to building team morale as an active participant in the team. In addition, the role holder is required to clarify the requirements; agree clear task objectives; organise and delegate work fairly according to individual abilities; help the team focus their efforts on the task in hand and motivate individual team members.
Liaison and Networking:
* Day to day liaison using existing procedures in order to ensure dissemination of information in the right format to the right people at the right time; build relationships and contacts to facilitate future exchange of information.
* Create or lead networks within Apex or externally in order to pass on information promptly; keep people informed to ensure coordination of effort and that work is done effectively.
Service Delivery:
* Deal with internal or external contacts who ask for service or require information; create a positive image of Apex by being responsive and prompt in responding to requests and referring the user to the right person if necessary.
* Deal with internal or external contacts where the service is initiated by the role holder (around 50% of the time), working within the Apex overall procedures or policies; and/or understand and explore customer's needs; adapt the service accordingly to ensure the usefulness or appropriateness and quality of service (content, time, accuracy, level of information, cost).
Decision Making Processes:
* Make own decisions that have a significant impact on Apex. Also to make collaborative decisions with others and play a role in contributing to others decisions. Outcomes of both types of decision making will also have a significant effect on Apex.
Planning and Organising Resources:
* Plan, prioritise and organise own work or resources to achieve agreed objectives for their self and others within own area on a daily, weekly or monthly basis; plan and manage all projects, ensuring the effective use of resources; receive information from and provide information to others to complete their planning; monitor progress against the plan
Initiative and Problem Solving:
* Resolve standard problems, within pre-defined measures following guidelines and with reference to others.
Analysis and Research:
* Establish the basic facts in situations which require further investigation and inform others if necessary. The role holder is also required to analyse routine data or information using predetermined procedures and gathering the information from standard sources; work accurately to complete the task precisely as specified. In relation to information analysis, the Role Holder should be making use of standard processes that will assist the analysis of information.
Teaching and Learning Support:
* Provide standard information or deliver teaching or training to introduce students or others who are new to the area to standard information or procedures.
The training you will be getting
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will be awarded a BSc Sports Business Management (Work Based), as well as a CMI level 5 leadership and management certificate, and CMI chartered manager status.
You will attend the University of Hertfordshire's Hatfield campus for day release teaching, one day per week.

For the successful apprentice, there is potential to progress within the business and to purchase the events part of the Apex business in the future. The events part of the business services all of the franchisees, as well as delivering all its own events.
