(All learning is delivered online/ remote). Training Provider: LMP Education (rated as the best UK training provider) Main Duties: Use data to inform targets for development. Assist children in developing communication, reading, writing, manual dexterity, and basic educational skills as directed by the teacher or SENCO. Help children communicate with the teacher and follow instructions. Reinforce lesson content as agreed with the teacher. Support physiotherapy, speech therapy, and other specialist programs under appropriate guidance. Collaborate with staff to plan interventions and ensure pupil progress. Track and record pupil progress during interventions. Report progress or concerns to the SEND team. Assist students with feeding, toileting, changing clothes, and cleaning up as needed. Escort children to and from transport and accompany them within the school building. Provide support during breaks and assist with intimate care needs (training provided). Attend department meetings to discuss student progress and meet with parents as required. Prepare teaching resources and materials for individual, class, or group activities. Assist teachers in creating individual teaching programs. Modify materials for students with visual impairments or other disabilities. Supervise children during breaks, school trips, or in the teacher's absence for short periods. Perform other duties consistent with the role. Person Specification Required: Hold a GCSE qualification or equivalent in English and Maths. Have experience or a desire to work with children in an educational setting. Possess knowledge of special educational needs (desirable). Have proven experience working under pressure and meeting deadlines. Demonstrate the ability to stay calm under pressure. Exhibit good communication, time-management, and organizational skills. Work effectively as part of a team. Assist children with special needs, including intimate care. Prioritize tasks and demonstrate flexibility. Be resourceful and adaptable within available time and resources. Show a professional approach to students, parents, and staff.
