Role: Site Manager
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
Located: Thurnscoe Head office with travel to sites
Hours: Monday - Thursday 07:15 - 17:00, Friday 07:15 - 16:00
Our client is looking for a Site Manager who will be responsible for the safe and commercially satisfactory delivery of projects, managing specifically based on site or in the office, utilizing staff, plant, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Take full responsibility for the projects whilst being based on site, delivering safely, ahead of programme, in full and ahead of budget, with full communication between our site team, client, and the office.
2. Ensure Company Safety and Quality Objectives are adhered to at all times.
3. Ensure good communication skills are adopted by the teams to effectively communicate with each other and deliver the company goals through a team effort on a daily basis.
4. Check levels and setting out once client has established centres.
5. Deliver profitable projects.
6. Maintain/promote good work practices.
7. Take responsibility for the equipment and plant for safe operation, on hire and off hire.
8. Provide direction and leadership to associates and assist where required.
9. Create and develop a highly motivated team, working within all company processes, policies, and procedures.
10. Perform any other duties as assigned.
Duties:
1. Manage projects based on site, from ordering plant and materials to managing daily work planning and execution in a safe and controlled way.
2. Prepare and achieve approval of all RAMS. Manage the site team to work within the RAMS and make any necessary amendments.
3. Prepare and achieve approval of quality documentation with the client. Manage the site team to work within the Quality docs and make any necessary amendments.
4. Check levels from clients' datums, transfer to our work area, and ensure our works are constructed in line with levels.
5. Ensure our site team works to our RAMS, our safety and quality standards, and the site safety and quality standards.
6. Liaise with clients and meet client requirements. Report and manage financial budgets.
7. Spot ahead daily issues and resolve them. Ensure all records are kept on a daily basis.
8. Deliver daily briefings and record them. Carry out detailed daily diary/record.
9. Complete all necessary H&S and Quality paperwork on a daily/weekly basis.
10. Develop an efficient, safe, and effective team on site. Plan and programme works on a daily basis to meet and better programmes.
The successful candidate:
1. Experience of working in specialist construction companies managing and taking full responsibility for the duties above.
2. CPCS and other construction-related training and achievements. SMS is a minimum requirement.
3. Prioritization skills.
4. Knowledge and ability to create RAMS and safe systems of work, following guidelines in a construction environment.
5. Managing site construction personnel/teams, managing teams and clients whilst based on site.
6. Attention to detail, good problem-solving skills.
7. Leadership skills.
8. Communication skills at all levels, including colleagues, customers, suppliers, consultants, and site teams.
9. Excel and Word computer skills to a good business level. Microsoft Project preferred.
