We are working with a manufacturing client in Redditch who, due to massive growth, are seeking a Tooling Engineer to join their existing team.
Reporting to the Operations Manager the Key Responsibilities of the Tooling Engineer will include but not be limited to:
The manufacture and maintenance of press tools, jigs, and fixtures
Utilising traditional toolroom equipment and operating Wire Erosion/EDM machines.
Maintaining a safe working environment within the toolroom.
Programming and operating EDM machinery using CAD programs. The ideal candidate for the Tooling Engineer will have the following Experience and Qualifications
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferably automotive or aerospace.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
CAD experience - any package
Be PC Literate
Have good verbal and written communication skill.
Have good attention to detail.
Manual machinery - Bridgport, grinding etc experience.
Have a minimum 4-5 years' work experience within a tooling environment.
Hold a relevant Manufacturing/Engineering qualification or have considerable practical experience in a similar environment. In return, the Tooling Engineer can expect to receive a competitive salary and package, work a 39 hour week – working hours can be flexible with start times, between 6 and 8. Benefits include - 3% employer pension contribution, company sick pay, holiday entitlement which increases based on length of service, cycle to work scheme.
