About the Role
We are expanding our UK Credit Risk Management team across Leeds, Birmingham, Chester, and Sheffield, offering hybrid working arrangements. Join an award-winning team recognized for excellence in credit modelling, risk management, and technology.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Developing and refining credit risk strategies based on data analysis.
2. Analyzing credit portfolios against performance indicators.
3. Supporting business growth through analytics for new lending products and existing customer exposure management.
4. Leading analytical projects independently.
5. Communicating findings and proposals clearly, considering risk and customer impact.
6. Identifying solutions for emerging risks and project challenges.
7. Challenging and improving policies and procedures.
8. Ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines.
9. Building relationships across teams to improve customer outcomes.
10. Mentoring junior team members and offshore analysts.
11. Reporting progress to senior management.
12. Maintaining thorough documentation.
Candidate Requirements
To succeed, you should have:
1. Experience in Credit Risk Strategy and team coaching.
2. Background in Credit Risk Analytics, Collections Analytics, or similar roles with secured/unsecured products.
3. Strong analytical skills with software proficiency (SAS, SQL, VBA, Python) for large data analysis.
4. Understanding of consumer lending, profitability, and credit risk.
5. Project management experience across teams.
6. Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
7. A motivation to positively impact customer support and HSBC's delivery.
8. Knowledge of FCA regulations in consumer lending.
9. A degree or qualification in an analytical or numerical field.
This is a hybrid role based in Birmingham, Chester, Leeds, or Sheffield.
