Job Title: Senior Rotational Clinical Pharmacist (Band 7)
This role will include an Emergency Duty Commitment Day.
Location: Royal Berkshire Hospital, London Road RG1 5AN
Contract: Temporary, up to 6-months
Hours: 9am - 5:30pm (can be flexible)
Days: Monday to Friday
We're looking for someone with a blend of clinical expertise, team spirit, and a drive for patient-centred care. Here's what you'll bring to the role:
* Recent clinical or ward pharmacy experience preferred.
* Strong multidisciplinary teamwork experience.
* Familiarity with respiratory, surgery, or elderly care specialties (other specialties will also be considered).
* Hospital pharmacy experience is a plus, but we also offer a Band 6-7 development programme for candidates looking to grow.
Main duties of the job
* Deliver expert clinical pharmacy services, including prescription reviews, patient counselling, and therapeutic drug monitoring.
* Provide guidance on the safe, effective, and cost-efficient use of medications while ensuring adherence to Trust policies and professional standards.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop tailored pharmaceutical care plans and optimize patient outcomes.
* Participate in departmental audits, policy reviews, and service development projects.
* Support the education and training of pharmacy team members, students, and healthcare professionals through mentoring and formal teaching.
* Contribute to continuous improvement by implementing evidence-based practices and participating in governance meetings.

Person Specification
Experience
* Post-registration Hospital experience.
* Ability to negotiate with doctors and clinicians on issues of patient pharmaceutical care.
* Appreciation of Pharmaco-economic considerations.
Qualifications
* GPhC Registration.
* Master's degree in pharmacy or equivalent.
