The Role:
The International Business Development Manager is responsible for supporting the continued growth through increasing our customer base, upgrades, and portfolio expansion of international markets. The role requires a strong leader who can manage and enable a team of remote-based Country Managers across different cultures and time zones. A strong track record of leadership, entrepreneurship, and impeccable communication skills are essential.
The role operates in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, requiring the ability to adapt quickly, prioritise effectively, and make data-driven decisions to ensure growth and success.
Key responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Coaching:
* Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Country Managers to achieve their individual and collective goals.
* Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
* Handle team dynamics effectively, including providing constructive feedback and addressing performance issues.
Strategy Development and Execution:
* Collaborate with the Head of Phases and other international Business Development Managers to define growth strategies.
* Translate company objectives into actionable plans for your team.
* Develop and execute strategies to drive revenue and market share.
* Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure targets are met.
Commercial Mindset:
* Develop a deep understanding of our industry, market, and competitive landscape.
* Identify new opportunities for revenue generation and subscription growth.
* Analyse data and market trends to inform strategic decision-making.
Hustle Mentality:
* Embrace a proactive and results-driven approach to overcome challenges.
* Encourage innovation and creativity within the team to drive growth.
* Lead by example with a strong work ethic and determination.
Performance Metrics:
* Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team and individual performance.
* Implement performance improvement plans when necessary to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
* Work closely with other departments, such as Production Operations, Twinkl Cares, and Growth Marketing, to align strategies and achieve common objectives.
* Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
