We are looking for a Warehouse Operative/Driver (3.5 tonne) based in Glasgow for an immediate start.
This role is full time, 40 hours a week, 8 hours per day Monday - Friday.
This role will be predominately warehouse duties and driver duties will be required to cover holiday, absences and busy periods.
Salary is ranged between £25,057 - £26,500 depending on experience.

Your purpose
To ensure the receiving, storage, picking and loading of stock inside the warehouse is efficient, accurate and timely managed. To maintain a clean and safe working environment and to be an asset to the day to day goings within the branch.
As and when required, to deliver and collect products to and from our customers and suppliers in an efficient, safe and timely manner. As the face of the company, you will be expected to be polite and courteous, and act with complete integrity and professionalism at all times.
Your day-to-day role
* Receive goods inwards, unload and store in the correct location
* Prepare orders according to sales requirements and safely load onto vehicles
* Sign for deliveries and receipt of stock and report breakages/damages
* Maintain the warehouse and stock in a clean and tidy condition
* Carry out daily checks and maintain fork lifts and other mechanical handling equipment in a safe condition
* Accurate movement and delivery/collection of our customers and suppliers’ products within allocated timeslots.
* Loading and unloading products of varying dimensions and weights of up to 25kg
* Load allocated vehicle, checking all relevant goods are loaded and organised for delivery sites to maximise efficiency. Ensure the vehicle is loaded safely within legal operating limits.
* Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and maintain adherence to optimised route planning through the use of handheld technology.
* Complete a daily vehicle check, ensuring the vehicle is in a roadworthy condition and legally compliant and report any defects or repairs immediately.
* Ensure vehicle is serviced, maintained and clean and company and legal regulations are followed and adhered to at all times.
* Ensure timely communications to relevant stakeholders (internal & external) of any delivery exceptions.
* Adhere to safe working practices and ensure safety of self and others at all times.
* Always ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
* Familiarise self and comply with all legal requirements such as Transport rules, the Road Traffic Act, Highway Code, speed limits and DVSA legislation related to use of a tachographs, drivers hours regulations and driver CPC requirements.
* Attend any essential training as directed, to carry out the driver’s role safely and effectively.
* Any other reasonable duties as requested within the individual’s capabilities.
Skills you possess:
* Hold a current, full UK driver’s licence.
* Experience driving/delivering.
* Comfortable working in challenging traffic conditions.
* Possess basic numeracy and IT skills.
* Understand and have knowledge of basic health and safety requirements.
* Forklift Licence (desirable)
* Good data accuracy
* Knowledge of basic health & safety requirements (preferable)
* Previous Yard or Warehouse experience (preferable)
