Job Title: Governance & Assurance Officer

Salary: Circa £35,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
1. Assist with the engagement and coordination of materials (e.g., reports, action updates, status reports) from individuals across the wider Enterprise IT team
2. Maintain a timetable of regular activities and deliverables (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually), tracking progress and providing a monthly summary report
3. Aid in day-to-day activities, such as scheduling meetings, taking notes of actions and updates, and subsequently following up with action owners
4. Maintain the team SharePoint site
5. Manage SharePoint and Shared Network Drive Permissions Models where needed
6. Facilitate Business Management System audits and follow through on actions, ensuring processes and diagrams are maintained
Your skills and experiences:
1. Previous analysis and/or project administration experience
2. Good organisational, proactive, and motivational skills
3. Effective time management with the ability to handle tasks across multiple projects
4. Knowledge of Audit practices
5. Familiarity with Operational Excellence (Lean methodology)
6. Awareness of Quality Management Systems, Operational Framework, and Operational Assurance process
The EIT Governance & Performance team:
A key member of the EIT Governance & Performance team within EIT Shared Services with responsibility for ensuring appropriate control environments are in place across the business, demonstrated through operational assurance and governance, risk management processes and internal audit.
As a Governance and Assurance officer, you will be co-ordinating and supporting the management of the governance and compliance activities for BAE Systems Enterprise IT, focusing on ensuring the IT applications and services meet various governance and compliance requirements.
