Role: Lead Offshore Consents Manager
Location: Remote - Occasional Trips to Glasgow
Start Date: December / January
Duration: 12-Month Rolling Contract
Rates: £750-£850 Daily Rate Inside IR35 via Umbrella
Clearance: BPSS (DBS, Financial Probity, Employment History) + Medical Questionnaire & Proof of Right to Work in the UK
We are seeking a Lead Offshore Consent Manager to join our client's Consents Team to lead in the management and delivery of all offshore consents and supporting environmental assessments for the project.
Ideally, the candidate would have the following experience / skills:
1. A background and knowledge in offshore wind and/or offshore/marine ecology.
2. Direct experience of consenting and preferably experience of NSIP/DCO and Marine Licensing processes.
3. Excellent problem-solving skills and an innovative approach when addressing consenting issues coupled with a solution-minded outset.
4. Skills to build productive relationships and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
5. A commercial approach to work, challenging colleagues, stakeholders and contractors to manage risk, achieve viable solutions to consenting issues and support overall project objectives.
6. Strong organisational skills with the ability to produce high-quality work to deadlines and work flexibly to respond to changing priorities.
7. Work effectively both independently, and as part of the project and wider client team, deputising for senior colleagues and engaging in strategic discussions on complex technical and environmental issues.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
1. Management and execution of the consent strategy and project management for all offshore elements required to achieve development consent for the Project.
2. Reporting to the Consents Team Manager.
3. Leading and supporting the development of the project Offshore Consent Manager.
4. Management of consultants and liaison with the wider consents and project team.
5. Providing consenting advice and managing offshore consenting risk for complex workstreams.
6. Lead engagement with key external stakeholders.
