HR ADMINISTRATOR
Head Office – Outskirts of Brighton BN1 8AP (This is a fully office-based role)
37 ½ hours per week, Monday to Friday: 9.00am – 5.30pm
Salary: circa £25K – depending on experience
At Capital, we have an opportunity within our head office support team for a new HR Administrator.
Established over 70 years ago, we are a family business with 60 stores and circa 550 colleagues throughout the UK and Ireland; along with a very successful website this makes us the largest independent wholesale supplier to the professional hair & beauty industry in the UK.
Working in a team, supported by the HR Advisor, you will be responsible for providing administration relating to varied HR admin tasks, particularly related to absence management. You will also support the Recruitment Administrator in providing a central recruitment function to our business. This is an opportunity to “career step” into a central, generalist HR role, gaining valuable experience and a full insight into the HR function.
We are looking for a colleague to join our HR team who has:
* Potential to develop a career in a generalist HR admin role;
* An interest in learning and putting into practice HR processes & procedures which support our colleagues in all locations across the business;
* An interest in recruitment processes and administration;
* Excellent and efficient administration skills, with a high attention to detail;
* The ability to work in a team, in a fast-paced & challenging environment and meet deadlines;
* An aptitude for flexibility and to achieve high levels of workload;
* An intermediate knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly Excel & Word;
* The ability to effectively plan, organise and prioritise workload;
* Excellent communication skills and an approachable manner.
Previous experience in an HR admin role, knowledge of working with an integrated HR/Payroll system & CIPD Level 3 would be desirable but not essential as opportunities for development will be provided alongside day-to-day training/coaching in the role.
