Office-Based in Salford (Salford Quays), Greater Manchester
Full-Time, 35 Hour Working Week, Monday – Friday
Competitive basic starting salary £45k – £65k per annum (negotiable, depending on experience), plus performance-based bonuses

Our client specialises in empowering businesses by helping them to access a variety of funding solutions. A leader in the Research and Development Tax sector, they have expanded their offering to include Business Finance and other Tax Services. Their ultimate goal is to provide an all-encompassing finance function for their clients.
They are currently in a period of remarkable growth, successfully securing their clients over £40 million in funding since their inception in 2021.
The Role:
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for increasing B2B sales across new and existing clients through the provision of high-quality leadership, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. This is a pivotal role that supports their ambitious growth plans, and you will therefore already be accustomed to exceeding challenging goals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Lead from the front, personally demonstrating how to effectively drives sales performance by deploying the latest and most effective sales techniques.
2. Monitor the performance and outputs of your team’s interactions with existing and potential new clients, bringing to life interactive training plans and workshops to upskill and broaden your team’s capabilities.
3. Complete regular team and individual performance appraisals, setting stretch targets and following performance management routes where appropriate.
4. Hold daily team talks, regular product and service training meetings, and ad-hoc communication briefings.
5. Produce proactive monthly and quarterly sales plans to mitigate against seasonality or industry challenges, giving regard to emerging risks.
6. Recognise, reward and maintain a balance between colleague enjoyment and performance focus through motivational and inspiring management techniques.
7. Recruit, nurture and retain top talent into your team as per business needs.
8. Oversee the CRM systems and sales reporting tools, ensuring they are effectively used to track performance and sales metrics.
9. Provide monthly MI accounting to senior stakeholders for the performance of your business area e.g. conversion rates, opportunities, quote to close ratio, monthly sales growth.
10. Operate within company procedures and policies, ensuring a culture of ‘right the first time’ is embedded within your team.
Experience / Knowledge Required:
Essential:
11. Proven, successful sales management experience within financial services or tax services.

Desirable:
20. Knowledge of the R&D Tax Incentive.
21. Knowledge of financial services such as invoice finance, asset finance etc.
22. Knowledge of selling bid writing services for innovation grants.
23. Proven success in leading and managing remote teams.
