Detailed job description and main responsibilities • To work as a team member liaising closely with paediatric and prescribing support dietetics teams. Along with patients, carers, nursing, therapy, and other health professional staff and clinical nutrition companies. • To support the teams in the delivery of clinical care to patients. • To support the teams in the delivery of training and education to patients and staff. • To deliver the service in line with relevant policies, procedures and standards. • To undertake administrative duties, project work, audit and research as required. • • The ability to travel independently between sites and domiciliary visits. Car driver / owner is preferable. Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria Good level of general education including A levels and GCSE or equivalents including functional skills level 2 An advanced / higher level apprenticeship for example AP apprenticeship or similar and / or NVQ level 4 in relevant subject or equivalent level of knowledge and experience Desirable criteria Care certificate Experience Essential criteria Able to demonstrate substantial experience in health and care settings including in the relevant field of work Desirable criteria Demonstrate the values of the NHS and commitment to personal and professional development Experience of working with children Experience of preparing, presenting teaching sessions Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Essential criteria Knowledge in nutrition and diet therapy and its importance. Able to demonstrate good written and oral communication skills Able to collect and record information accurately.
