I am working on behalf of an SEN school looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their vibrant team at based in Knowsley. The successful candidate will provide tailored support to students with a range of special educational needs (SEN), helping them to reach their full potential both academically and socially. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students with special educational needs in a classroom setting, under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).
Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), providing personalized support based on each student's needs.
Help students engage in learning activities, promoting independent learning and encouraging positive behaviour.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment, ensuring the well-being of all students.
Assist in the preparation of learning materials and resources.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents when required.
Work collaboratively with the wider school team, including therapists, external agencies, and other support staff.
