People Advisor (3-Month Temporary Contract with the possibility to be extended)
Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a dynamic and rewarding role? We are seeking a People Adviser to join one of our clients based in Abingdon, Oxford, providing expert support across a range of HR functions.
This role will focus on managing operational HR activities, including performance management, attendance and wellbeing, employee relations, and policy implementation. You will work closely with managers, offering professional guidance on employment matters such as disciplinary and grievance procedures, absence management, and employee engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing expert HR advice and coaching to managers, ensuring best practice and legal compliance.
Supporting managers in handling performance, conduct, and attendance issues to drive fair and effective outcomes.
Managing a range of employee relations cases, including disciplinary hearings, grievances, capability issues, and sickness absence.
Ensuring HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and fairly across the organisation.
Staying up to date with employment law changes and HR best practice to drive continuous improvement.
Working collaboratively with the People & Culture team to support initiatives that promote employee wellbeing, engagement, and professional development.What We're Looking For:
A strong understanding of HR best practice and employment law.
Experience in managing employee relations cases and advising on HR policies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail.

Working hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-17:00pm
Pay Rate: £16.90p/h (Weekly Pay)
