Remedicare are currently recruiting for a Chef for our clients medium-sized nursing care home in Ipswich We are looking for a skilled and passionate Chef to support our team and ensure the efficient and effective running of the kitchen. Job Details: You must be eligible to work in the UK 37.5 hours contracted £12.38 - £14.23ph 7am - 3pm or 10:30am - 6:30pm Chef - Duties and Responsibilities? Under the guidance of a Head Chef on duty, you will be a part of a dedicated team. You will be preparing and cooking high quality meals, and assisting the Head Chef and Home Manager in menu planning. The Chef must ensure Residents with special dietary needs receive attractive, appropriate and varied meals. Menu planning Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards Follow recipes and presentation specifications Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Restock items as needed throughout the shift Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards Recording food temperatures Role Requirement: Strong communication skills Ability to work as part of a team and individually Flexibility and be able to adapt to the needs of Residents Experience in a similar environment. Actively help maintain compliance with current Dietary, Food Safety and EHO Standards.
