Commissioning Manager Skyline, 36 hours per week, Fixed Term Contract for 7 years with the possibility of extension
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to lead the commissioning and contract management of Project Skyline. Skyline is an innovative collaboration between the 10 Local Authorities and the Integrated Care Board across Greater Manchester, which will provide specialist residential care for children and young people across the region. The post will be hosted by Salford City Council but will work on behalf of all partners.
The role will be key to supporting the mobilization of the homes, ensuring correct referrals and placements, outcome monitoring for young people, and oversight of the efficiency and effectiveness of the contract. The functions of the role will be supported by the Executive Lead for Skyline and the Skyline Board.

Commissioning Manager Specialist Services x 2 (36 hours per week and 28 hours per week) Permanent Contract.
Due to the promotion of the current post holders, an exciting opportunity has become available within Children’s Services for two dynamic and experienced Commissioning Managers. Your commitment to outcomes for children and young people will lead your work in commissioning, performance management, and service improvement. You will lead on some of the varied and diverse portfolios of commissioning programmes across children’s services which may include:
* Children's Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing
* Domestic Abuse
* Services for children with Specialist Educational Needs and Disabilities.
You will join an experienced and supportive team who will help you in delivering our commissioning strategy. You will be supported to develop and enhance your skills in a team that values opportunities and progression.
Commissioning Manager Specialist Services Post 16+ Quality Assurance 18 hours per week, fixed term contract for 12 months
This newly established post will ensure young people who access post 16 skills and training provision, via unregistered providers, get the same high level of quality provision as their peers in mainstream provision. We are seeking someone with experience of quality assurance processes and has a strong and professional approach, who can ask the pertinent questions, gather evidence, and make suggestions as part of a developmental process for the provider.
Salford City Council is working alongside other Greater Manchester local authorities to fund a part-time role to provide expert quality assurance processes. The role will be hosted by Salford City Council but will work on behalf of all authorities across the region. The aim is to develop a consistent approach to quality assurance that can be modeled across several local authority areas, while at the same time to further raise the quality of the offer but also support providers to enter the post 16 provision landscape, to create greater choice for young people.

Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check currently £21.50. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £5.38 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £21.50.
