Description
The Service Co-ordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of smaller-scale projects. This includes managing the delivery and commissioning of products from stock, overseeing retrofitting tasks, and coordinating service and maintenance activities.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work confidently with clients, suppliers, and engineers.
This is not an engineering role, but a basic technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is essential to effectively plan work, communicate with stakeholders, and provide first-line support when needed.
The role of Administrator / Service Co-Ordinator:
* Take ownership of smaller projects involving delivery, commissioning, and small works, i.e., retrofit parts or small product modifications.
* Assess skill requirements for each task and allocate appropriate engineers or subcontractors.
* Develop detailed project schedules and ensure timely completion.
* Ensure all completed work meets company and industry standards, providing feedback to engineers or subcontractors when necessary.
* Arrange regular servicing and inspections for client equipment, coordinating engineers and maintaining accurate records.
* Monitor spare parts inventory, ensuring availability for routine and emergency service needs.
* Act as the primary contact for service-related inquiries, delivering professional and timely responses to clients.
The ideal Administrator / Service Co-Ordinator:
* Proven ability to plan, schedule, and manage multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in speaking to clients, suppliers, and engineers over the phone.
* Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, sufficient to interpret training materials and support engineers.
* Strong focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of the role, from scheduling to record-keeping.
* Ability to manage a dynamic workload, balancing routine and urgent tasks effectively.
