This is a great opportunity to influence policy, lead multi-disciplinary teams and drive forward some key schemes that support sustainable transport, road safety and economic growth. This is a great opportunity to be at the heart of Wiltshire's transport network, working with elected members, stakeholders and technical teams to ensure that it meets the future needs of both rural and urban areas. Your leadership will be pivotal in helping to shape local highway schemes, overseeing transport projects and aligning them with wider priorities including sustainability, safety and economic development. It involves strategic planning, chairing discussions, engaging stakeholders and performance monitoring toward further improvements across the network. We are looking for someone with a master's degree in highways and transport or equivalent experience. The successful candidate will have, or be eligible for, chartered membership of a relevant institute. You will need to have a strong track record in scheme delivery, project management and stakeholder engagement, as well as the political awareness needed to influence policy at national, regional and local level.
