Belcan is seeking a skilled RF Communication Engineer to join our team in Milton Keynes.

As an RF Communications Engineer at Belcan, you will be responsible for defining, designing, implementing, and maintaining measurement/test solutions for link/modem validation. You will also analyse calibration and metrology aspects, including statistical error analysis, confidence levels, and error budgets.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Physics, and 2+ years of experience with RF measurement and instrumentation. They should also have strong programming skills using Python, LabVIEW, SQL, or Embedded C, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a base salary of approximately £60,000 per year, depending on experience.

We are looking for a collaborative and forward-thinking individual who is passionate about developing leading-edge electronics for satellites, spacecraft, and aerospace systems.
Job Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.
* 2+ years of experience with RF measurement and instrumentation.
* 2+ years of programming experience using Python, LabVIEW, SQL, or Embedded C.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
* Proficiency with Linux operating systems, VLANs, and network security.
* Hands-on RF measurement experience with analysers, vector signal generators, power sensors, and network analysers.
* Knowledge of physical-layer modem algorithms/standards (DVB-S2, CCSDS, SG NTN).
* Experience with link-performance measurement (link/protocol testers, channel emulators).
* Collaborative software design experience (GIT, code reviews).
* Antenna range experience and OTA experiment design.
* RF test automation experience (SCPI, test executive).
* Statistical analysis and metrology expertise.
