Role: Advanced Specialist Aseptic Pharmacist Banding: Band 8a Location: Sheffield Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Hours: Full-time, 09:00AM - 17:30 PM, Monday to Friday Rate: £34 - 39 per hour The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 8a Advanced Specialist Aseptic Pharmacist to join our team in Sheffield. This role is crucial in ensuring the professional supervision and release of products in our aseptic dispensaries. The successful candidate will support the Accountable Pharmacists in the delivery, management, and development of the pharmacy aseptic dispensing service across Sheffield Teaching Hospitals (STH). Additionally, the role involves standardising training and revalidation across STH aseptic dispensaries and providing pharmaceutical care to patients in defined clinical areas. Key Responsibilities: You will provide professional supervision and release of products in aseptic dispensaries. You will support the Accountable Pharmacists in managing and developing the pharmacy aseptic dispensing service. You will standardise training and revalidation processes across STH aseptic dispensaries. You will deliver pharmaceutical care to patients in defined clinical areas. Requirements: Education and Qualifications: GPhC Registered. 1 year pre-registration training. Master’s degree in pharmacy (MPharm) accredited by the GPhC. Prior NHS hospital experience, particularly in clinical ward areas. Previous experience working in an NHS hospital setting is essential. Previous experience in an aseptic pharmacy setting. Skills and Knowledge: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
