UK Field Engineer job based near Skelmersdale, Lancashire An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field Engineer to join a dynamic services team based near Skelmersdale, Lancashire covering UK wide and parts of Ireland who specialise in power generation. This role involves performing on-site assignments across the UK and Ireland, with occasional global travel. Reporting directly to the UK Services Manager, the Field Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the maintenance, commissioning, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment. The Field Engineer will be responsible for: Responding promptly to urgent service requests across the UK and Ireland. Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical breakdowns. Performing maintenance, repairs, and commissioning of equipment. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Organizing and managing on-site work, including coordinating colleagues when required. Providing technical phone support for troubleshooting. Compiling detailed reports on all on-site activities. When fieldwork is limited, the Field Engineer will also support project management, assisting with service proposals, coordinating logistics, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality procedures. The ideal Field Engineer will need to have: A minimum of five years’ experience in maintaining rotating electrical machines, Power generators, alternators.
