Company Dealership Accountant role
Location: Exeter, Devon
Basic Salary: up to £37,500

Our well-established client, a franchised dealership in Exeter, is seeking a Dealership Accountant to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the General Manager, this role offers an exciting opportunity to become part of a friendly and welcoming team during a successful and exciting time for the company.
The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA Qualified but our client is willing to consider qualification via experience in the job role. Ideally, you will have motor trade experience within an accountant position, though this is not essential.
Main Duties:
1. Manage the day-to-day accounting tasks
2. Payable/receivable accounts
3. Chasing vehicle creditors and debtors
4. Handling bank reconciliations
5. Preparing company budgets
6. Provide figures on a regular basis to track performance of the branch
7. Look after cash flow of the business
8. Processing PAYE and HMRC documents
9. Reconcile warranty
10. Analyse financial data and provide reports for the company
11. Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for business growth and profitability
12. Stay up to date and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards, including preparing and being answerable for financial audits
13. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making processes
Qualifications:
1. Ideally fully AAT qualified, or have an equivalent qualification
2. Experience in a similar role, and knowledge of the automotive industry is essential
3. Knowledge of Pinnacle is desirable
