Bullet Points Quantity Surveyor NEC experienced Full Job Description Our client, renowned for their award-winning fit-out division, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a permanent basis. Role Overview As a pivotal member of the commercial team, you will oversee multiple projects, primarily within the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and nuclear defence sectors. Your role will focus on managing the commercial performance of these projects, mitigating risks, leading teams, and cultivating strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities Oversee the commercial performance of assigned projects. Develop risk assessments and pricing strategies to ensure positive financial outcomes. Lead and manage Quantity Surveying and Estimating services for various projects. Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and uphold service level agreements. Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Address financial concerns with colleagues and clients as necessary. Ensure compliance with NEC4 contracts (Options A & C) and other contractual agreements. Knowledge and Skills Required 3-7 years of practical experience in Quantity Surveying. Degree or HND qualification in a relevant field. RICS qualification (or working towards it) preferred; APC route is also acceptable. Strong ability to work independently and lead project teams effectively. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Excellent numerical, analytical, and IT capabilities, including database proficiency. Methodical approach with keen attention to detail.
