F3 level Trust Grade Doctors - Paediatrics
We currently have an opportunity for a Foundation Year 3 (FY3) equivalent Trust Grade doctor in Paediatrics to support the medical team on a Fixed Term contract (6 months). This is a full-time equivalent role and the FY3 doctor attached to Paediatrics will share responsibility for patients under all consultants on the wards with the other junior doctors working that day.
Main duties of the job
We would welcome applications from doctors taking a break from training following completion of foundation training or equivalent either because you are out of phase, planning to take a break for part of the year or looking for some alternative experience prior to deciding/commencing specialty training. Less than full time (LTFT) applications will be considered; we are also prepared to consider applications from doctors looking for a full/limited/no contribution to the out of hours rota although preference will usually be given to candidates able to contribute to out of hours shifts.
Benefits
* ST/CT1 (MT03) pay with enhancements equivalent to doctors in training determined by the agreed rota; other terms and conditions will also mirror those for doctors in training.
* Training opportunities.
* GMC connection to the Trust and Responsible Officer.
* We would consider supporting some non-clinical time e.g. student teaching/simulation/QI project etc; this will need to be discussed and agreed at interview.
