This role is perfect for individuals looking to take on a flexible and rewarding role supporting young learners with additional needs. The Role As a Cover Supervisor, you will lead lessons during teacher absences, ensuring that students remain engaged and on-task. Using pre-prepared lesson plans, you will manage the classroom and support pupils to continue their learning in a positive and structured environment. Main Responsibilities Deliver pre-prepared lessons to students, ensuring a smooth continuation of learning. Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a safe and inclusive environment. Provide support and encouragement to students, helping them stay focused and engaged. Liaise with staff and report on lesson outcomes or any issues. Adapt to different school environments and build positive relationships with staff and pupils quickly. Essential Criteria Previous teaching experience. Strong classroom management and organisational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, adaptability, and confidence in leading a group of children. Knowledge of school curriculums. Desirable Criteria Previous experience working with students who have SEND/SEMH needs. Relevant qualifications
