We are currently working with a Legal 500 ranked firm in Cambridge who is looking to recruit a Private Client Professional Support Lawyer to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity for a solicitor or professionally qualified individual to collaborate with the Senior Knowledge Lawyer and provide support to the national Private Client team. The Knowledge Lawyer (KL) role encompasses several key elements, including Continuous Improvement, Training, Research & Review, and National Profile.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop a shared approach to advice, implementation, and file management.
* Participate in Pricing & Productivity initiatives, including financial management and time monitoring.
* Engage in innovation initiatives, such as the use of AI and data management.
* Design and maintain a comprehensive training programme over the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 financial years.
* Deliver training sessions or facilitate delivery by others.
* Collaborate with the central Learning & Development team to ensure training complements firm-wide offerings.
* Manage the training budget and secure external resources as appropriate.
* Review and research external private client legal developments, including trends, legislative changes, and case law.
* Capture and share best practices and know-how within the team.
* Generate and maintain internal precedents and best practice resources.
* Assist with implementing new knowledge management systems.
* Support the generation of content for press, blogs, social media, newsletters, and other digital channels.
* Generate client updates.
* Manage and enhance the Private Client team pages on the firm's external website.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* At least four years' PQE as a Qualified Solicitor or equivalent qualification within the Private Client sector.
* Strong drafting and written communication skills.
* Outstanding IT skills, particularly in knowledge management and information dissemination.
* In-depth knowledge and experience of private client law and the private wealth sector. Experience in contentious private client, international, charities, landed estate work, or advising business owners is advantageous.
* An enthusiastic, committed, and professional approach to enhancing the legal knowledge and skills of fee-earners within the Private Client team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at all levels and embody the firm's values.
* A desire to contribute to the development of the private client practice and engage in continuous innovation and improvement.
* An interest in technology and the evolving nature of legal service delivery is a significant bonus.
