Tudor Employment Agency are currently recruiting for a Senior Residential Care Practitioner for a Children’s Care Home in Solihull.
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Senior Residential Care Practitioner to support children and young people in a residential care setting. Your role will focus on creating positive experiences, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.

Salary: £28,000 per annum / sleep in’s are paid at an additional £60 per sleep
Duties of a Senior Residential Care Practitioner will include:
1. Supporting and engaging with children and young people through activities, play, cooking, and personal care
2. Encouraging independence and involvement in the wider community
3. Helping with education, health needs, and advocacy
4. Leading and supervising a team, providing guidance and support
5. Planning and managing staff shifts
6. Supporting team development through supervisions and training
7. Assisting with the daily running of the home and following senior management decisions
8. Ensuring the home is safe and well-maintained, including health & safety checks
9. Managing budgets and resources
10. Keeping accurate records, writing reports, and attending meetings
11. Working with external agencies and professionals
12. Creating, updating, and following care plans and risk assessments
In order to be considered for the role of a Senior Residential Care Practitioner:
1. NVQ Level 3 Children’s residential Or NVQ Level 3/4 Children, Young People & Family Practitioner
2. Experience in a children's home setting
3. Supervisory experience
4. Passion to help nurture young people
5. Be able to work shift patterns including sleep ins
6. Full, UK Driving License
Hours of Work: 8am – 10pm (2 on / 4 off) (between 6-8 sleep in’s per month)
