As an Acoustic Applications Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and optimising noise-reduction solutions for generator systems, ensuring they meet stringent performance and compliance standards. Acoustic Design & Airflow Analysis : Develop noise-reduction solutions for generator systems and enclosures, ensuring compliance with industry noise standards.
Project Collaboration : Work alongside design, fabrication, and fit-out teams to integrate acoustics into the manufacturing processes.
Generator Expertise : Use knowledge of generator systems to address acoustic challenges and optimize performance.
Testing & Validation : Conduct on-site acoustic testing and analyze results to provide recommendations for improvement.
Regulatory Compliance : Stay up-to-date with ISO and BS noise regulations, ensuring all designs are compliant.
Estimating : Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, equipment, labor, and sub-contract services.
Proven experience in acoustic engineering, particularly within power generation or related industries.
Proficiency in acoustic modeling software (e.g., Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in complex engineering challenges.
A degree in Acoustic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred but not essential.
