Our Wholesale Solutions team at AXA XL is poised for growth in the dynamic world of Excess and Surplus lines. Essential Responsibilities:
1. Supporting the successful execution of region’s strategic plan with a focus on assigned Territory.
2. Handling an existing portfolio of E&S Excess Property business, meeting growth goals and ensuring profitability for the region.
3. Supporting and aiding in the development of new products (Based on experience).
4. Creating visibility in the assigned territory by communicating underwriting appetite and generating new opportunities by building and maintaining outstanding broker relationships.
5. Working independently, you will be granted underwriting authority based on experience level.
6. Cultivating key broker relationships in the region to maintain a steady stream of business within our underwriting appetite.
7. Providing clients with a service that supports the positive image of the company.
8. Building partnerships with other core lines aiding cross-sell opportunities.
9. Cross-marketing with other XL lines; meeting with brokers and insureds as required.
You will report to the Underwriting Manager, E&S Property within AXA XL Wholesale Solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience.
2. A moderate amount of E&S Property Underwriting Experience.
3. Outstanding existing marketing relationships within their assigned territory with experience in production underwriting role.
4. Possess in-depth underwriting expertise across general classes and is able to manage a high-volume portfolio.
5. Self-starter who is organized and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced team-centric environment.
6. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong insured and broker contacts.
7. The ability to demonstrate critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
8. Outstanding Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration and presentation skills and willingness to mentor others.
9. Travel is estimated at 20%.
Compensation: The U.S. pay range for this position is $156,000 - $186,000. Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience, and location.
