Purpose of the role: As a Development Team Manager, you will collaborate with your fellow Technology Management colleagues (Technology Director, Technical Team Manager and Senior Technical Architects), and as a team you will have the responsibility for the implementation and improvement of all development processes including design, development, testing, release as well as the smooth transition to hyper care and support thereafter. This senior role offers the opportunity to collaborate in the development team resource planning alongside Technical Management and to manage a highly motivated team of Lead Developers who in-turn manage development teams. You will have responsibility for the delivery of all development work undertaken to deliver software solutions to customers. Responsibilities: · Working with the development team members to ensure processes support the effective transition of projects into and through delivery phases · Actively working with development team members - architects and team leads to identify, trial and implement process improvement ideas · Timesheet management of the development team. · Expense management of the development team. · Holiday approval management of the development team. · Probation, promotion and individual development of the development team. · Providing ongoing support to ensure the continued personal development of direct reports · Supporting management of and planning for the department programme of work · Supporting project resource scheduling and department capacity planning Requirements: · Experience in leading teams that develop with C# and .NET. · Significant practical experience leading and managing the delivery of software and system development projects · Practical experience in software development approaches such as Agile, and Waterfall · Significant experience in the implementation of Warehouse Management & Control Systems · Proven facilitation and coaching skills · Proven people management skills, the ability to drive and influence others · Experience in the management and development of other line managers and senior technical team members · Excellent personal organisation skills including the ability to prioritise and successfully carry out multiple complex tasks at one time · Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills · Experience in working with and influencing all levels of seniority · Able to influence and drive projects to meet key milestones and overcome challenges · Confident working alone and leading initiatives without routine supervision Technologies and methodologies · Git · Azure · Agile · Visual studio DevOps · Github Location : Office based, Milton Keynes What do we offer: We really value our people and offer a friendly, safety-first working environment and a competitive salary along with other benefits including company pension scheme, private healthcare, EV car leasing scheme much more Our people are at the core of our business and what makes Invar great.
