This role will focus on:
Role Summary:
Working as partof the Management Accounts team, Finance team and with the wider business, youwill support the production and delivery of the month end management accounts,as well as assisting with weekly reporting, annual budgets & forecasting andcapital expenditure management.
The AssistantManagement Accountant will benefit from support and development from othermembers of the Finance Team, plus the leadership and support of the SeniorManagement Accountant.
What you'll be doing:
- Producing various journals, accruals and prepayments to prepare monthly management accounts
- Departmental P&L account variance analysis against budget
- Assisting monthly departmental P&L meetings
- Assisting with preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets
- Balance sheet reconciliations including robust reconciliations to support balances
- Weekly spend reporting
- Assist with capital expenditure management and asset register maintenance
- Assisting with internal controls and year-end audit process
- Dealing with ad hoc requests as required
To be successful in this role, youwill need:
You should be already studying toward CIMA/ACCA or AAT qualified and ready to start CIMA/ACCA.
Additionally, you should have:
- Previous finance role experience, preferably in an manufacturing environment
- Experience with month end and multiple deadlines (desirable)
- Computerised accounting experience, preferably ERP
- Strong Excel skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights
