We’re on the lookout for a senior quality professional with expertise in apprenticeships and Ofsted regulations to join one of our leading apprenticeship clients as their new Quality Business Partner.
Job: Quality Business Partner – Apprenticeships
Salary: £62,000 + benefits
Location: Hybrid, with some work across London sites
Responsibilities Include:
Ofsted
* Lead the preparation activities for an Ofsted inspection (as the Prime) across the business unit.
* Ensure organisational readiness for an inspection, including staff training/briefings, undertaking Self-Assessment Monitoring Visits, and maintaining an up-to-date central register of documents/information.
* Act as the Deputy Ofsted nominee.
* Manage, lead, and produce the Annual Monitoring Report (AMR) in conjunction with the HEI partners.
Awarding Organisations
* Manage Awarding Organisations and liaise with relevant EPAOs.
* Ensure compliance with all Awarding Organisation/EPAO requirements. Oversee internal investigations where any assessment or training malpractice/maladministration is identified.
* Own the Resilience IQA strategy. Ensure quality assurance activities align with the IQA strategy and Awarding Organisation requirements.
Line Management
* Manage the quality team to ensure compliance and adherence to relevant processes, including the IQA strategy.
* Effectively manage staff, including recruitment, development, and performance management, to maintain a professional team of industry specialists who can meet current and planned delivery requirements.
Quality Assurance
* Oversee the development and implementation of a quality assurance framework that monitors the effectiveness of training (including Apprenticeship provision) within the Resilience line of business.
* Manage the internal quality cycle process for the line of business, including the development and monitoring of the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) in conjunction with the contract teams.
* Create, implement, and update policies aligned to the needs of the contracts, working directly with HEI partners and customers to ensure policies and procedures align with training requirements.
* Manage the observations of teaching, learning, and assessment (including learning walks and progress reviews where applicable), ensuring feedback provided is clear, constructive, and supportive. Ensure, where applicable, that line managers are supported to devise a development plan.
* Use insights from quality assurance activities to identify overarching strengths and areas for development to drive improved outcomes.
* Manage standardisation activities to enhance and develop the programmes/courses (and ensure consistency of marking and assessment decisions where applicable).
* Oversee desktop evaluations of key learner documentation from a quality perspective (e.g., Progress Reviews, Action Plans, ITPs).
* Support the development and maintenance of an overarching quality framework for the business unit.
* Define appropriate quality metrics and measure them accordingly to ensure quality system effectiveness.
* Monitor learner progression across the Resilience programmes, identifying trends in data and ensuring at-risk learners are appropriately identified and supported.
* Manage the collection and evaluation of satisfaction levels. Maximise feedback routes and deliver clear insights on learner, employer, and staff feedback.
* Manage complaints. Ensure all complaints are appropriately investigated and actions are implemented.
