Job Opportunity: Principal HVAC Engineer

Role Responsibilities
The role is to provide HVAC services across refinery, petrochemical, and energy transition FEED and EPCM projects. General responsibilities include:
1. Performing HVAC engineering activities for projects
2. Potential to act as Lead HVAC Engineer if required
3. Acting as originator (or checker) and approver (where necessary) for all HVAC engineering deliverables
4. Assisting in planning and scheduling of discipline deliverables and activities
5. Coordinating with all disciplines (as necessary) in the preparation and development of the deliverables
6. Applying your knowledge and experience in the design and substantiation of ventilation systems and delivering HVAC designs at a Principal Level
7. Producing ventilation system design deliverables, including Ventilation Flow Diagrams (VFD’s), Basis of Design (BoD), Plant Sizing Calculations (Heating / Cooling / Fan Sizing), and Control Philosophy
8. Delivering written work including Equipment Specifications and Design Assessment Reports
9. Identifying scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process
10. Ensuring design complies with the relevant procedures and regulations
11. As far as practically possible, ensuring that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule
12. Preparing estimates and schedules and assisting in their review
13. Performing sizing of HVAC equipment to the degree necessary for the stage of the project

Qualifications
1. Degree Qualified in relevant field
2. FEED / EPC experience
3. Experience of client management and briefing activities
4. Experience of coordination activities within a multi-disciplinary environment
5. Sound technical, construction and specification knowledge of HVAC / Building Services equipment and systems
6. Good project management skills within HVAC discipline
7. Experience of client / industry standards in the Oil and Gas sector
8. Knowledge of current ‘Green’ directives as they relate to HVAC and building services
