We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Registered Learning Disability or Mental Health Nurse.
The Registered Nurse will have experience of working with people with learning disabilities, mental health issues and a forensic history.
We provide specialist care for people with learning disabilities as part of Swansea Bay University Health Board's Mental Health and Learning Disability Delivery Unit.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a seven-day service, which includes weekends, nights, and bank holidays.
Swn yr Afon CCU offers a dynamic and challenging work environment, supporting adults with Learning Disabilities who present with behaviours which can challenge. We aim to provide a high-quality, person-centred approach based on the Positive Behaviour Support model of care.
The post is open to all nurses currently holding registration with the NMC, including newly qualified staff nurses. We offer a supportive preceptorship program for all newly qualified nurses.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential for this post. Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
