HMP Five Wells in Wellingborough is setting a new standard for new build prisons of the future, using forward-thinking design and technology. The Prison is the UK’s first purpose-built, new resettlement Prison. After opening in 2022, it has become an integral part of the local community.
We are looking for an experienced Interventions Facilitator to join our Offender Management Team.
Reporting to the Head of Rehabilitation, the Intervention Facilitator will provide professional advice, guidance and support to operational and line management to meet business stream objectives in line with legislation and best practice and lead on treatment, offending behaviour programmes and interventions within the establishment and through to the community.
Some of the key responsibilities to this role are:
* To attend team meetings and training sessions as required both internally and externally.
* Involvement in the delivery of staff awareness and Induction packages.
* Compiling post programme reports and participating in Case Reviews.
* Ensure all appropriate programme records are updated accordingly and in a timely fashion including pre group and post group work.
* To ensure compliance with relevant audit baselines.
* Undertake operational duties when necessary (if applicable).
* Other duties as directed by Treatment and Programme managers.
* Ensure effective communication and interpersonal skills both within the group room and within your professional relationships.
* Completion of relevant documentation in accordance with audit baselines.
* Maintain an increased understanding of the core theoretical models underpinning offending behaviour programmes.
* To participate in personal counselling sessions as required (if applicable).
* To comply with the code of conduct of facilitators as stipulated by Interventions Group.
* To work alongside the Offender Management Team in establishing an effective Offender Management Process that ensures appropriate and timely assessment for interventions.
The Ideal Candidate:
You must possess excellent communication skills both written and oral, alongside good negotiation and influencing skills with experience of working in a custodial setting.
It is essential that you have experience of working within a multifunctional and demanding environment. You will be a dynamic and engaging individual with a good sense of humour.
