Your future role
Alstom Transport Services UK Ltd is dedicated to the successful and safe delivery of its services to its customer. We are searching for 8 Maintenance Technicians to provide technical expertise and support to the project undertaking exam based maintenance, unplanned and planned work, fault finding and rectification.
You will undertake exam based maintenance, diagnose and carry out fault repairs to the Class 730 fleet to provide optimal performance and ensure on-time delivery of units to our customer.
We’ll look to you for:
* Ensures work is performed in a safe and effective manner in accordance with relevant safety regulations.
* Undertake exam based maintenance and planned/unplanned tasks.
* Provide technical support in fault finding and train repair activities.
* Have extensive knowledge of 3 phase, single phase, and DC power systems and control systems.
* Carry out fault finding and investigate intermittent faults on vehicles.
* Assist in component change outs and failure reporting.
* Provide on-train fault diagnosis/rectification for units in service.
* Assist in gathering required data downloads on critical performance systems.
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience:
* Electrical based NVQ Level 3 in rolling stock or aircraft.
* Practical experience and knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering aspects of modern Electric Multiple Units.
* IT skills – competent user of Personal Computer.
* Flexibility and Adaptability.
* Self-Motivation.
