The Role
You'll become part of one of our fun, friendly and dedicated teams who provide support individuals with various support needs within their own homes. There's never a dull moment; every day is different!
As a Support Practitioner, you'll support and assist the people we support with all aspects of daily living, including cooking and preparing meals, personal care, administering medication, and managing personal finances. We're also looking for you to be enthusiastic and creative when supporting with their hobbies which include karaoke, arts and crafts, live music, going for walks, and to the shops along with many more activities. The people we support enjoy comics, art, and also enjoy going swimming, so while being a confident swimmer is beneficial, it's not essential.
What we'll need you to bring:
* A caring attitude
* A positive approach to learning
* An understanding of the importance of routines and following guidelines
* Confidence in the use of computers
You don't need previous experience in care as a Support Worker or qualifications to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferable skills. We'll pay you for your training and give you all the skills you'll need. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) and SSSC yearly registration fees too!
Shift Patterns
We offer support 7 days a week, usually between 9am-6pm, although there are a few earlier/later supports. You may be supporting more than one person in a day or could have a longer day with one person.
Sound interesting? What are you waiting for? Apply today; we can't wait to hear from you.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited along for an interview at the Carman Centre in Renton.
