ICT Technician
Liberton High School
Salary: £28,046 - £32,010 (pro-rata for sessional)
Hours: 36 per week, 40 weeks sessional
Liberton High School is a non-denominational secondary school with roll of approximately 900 pupils, working in partnership with our associated primaries of Craigour Park, Gilmerton, Liberton and Prestonfield to serve our local community in South East Edinburgh. We have a rising roll which is projected to peak at approximately 1100 within the next four years.
We are excited to be moving into a new, purpose-built Community Campus, which is due to be completed in February 2026. The leadership team comprises of the Head Teacher, three Depute Head Teachers, and a Business Manager.
We have a complement of 65 teaching staff and 26 support staff We are a successful school, which is evident in our attainment journey over the past 5 years. We are currently recruiting an ICT technician to provide support across the school in the areas of IT maintenance, the management and audit of an IT inventory within the school, to take responsible for the IT maintenance of all non-BT equipment including iPad deployment and to support staff and pupils in the implementation of an IT strategy for the school.
Ideally you will come with a background in ICT support and be able to provide advice and guidance in the operation, use and applications of all relevant IT equipment, to both Staff and pupils, as required.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
