The Role
The Multi-Skilled Engineer plays a key role in driving continuous improvement across the site, implementing lean asset management, and executing planned maintenance. They help deliver short-term business goals aligned with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and ensure all key performance indicators (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety & Environment, Manpower) are met. Additionally, they contribute to a positive work culture where people are motivated, valued, and inspired to excel.
Salary: £47,439
Shift: 4 on 4 off - 2 days (07:00 - 19:00) 2 nights (19:00 - 07:00), 4 rest days.
Duties Include:
1. Carry out tasks that include but are not exclusive to electrical, mechanical, and utilities of all assets in all areas of our operations across multi sites.
2. Fully support operations in start-ups, shutdowns, size changes, and process problems.
3. Effectively carry out all planned maintenance and support fault finding.
4. Continuous self-development with respect to machinery, current trends, legislation, and processes understanding.
5. Ensure full process conformation on shift.
6. Full conformance to engineering process requirements such as work process control and use of EAM system.
7. Rigorously drive and support the delivery of factory shift performance and engineering department KPIs, including costs, downtime, and process conformance.
8. Drive continuous improvement using a team-based approach guided by data and facts.
9. Improve the performance of our assets to maximise value, minimise waste, and costs.
10. Optimise and control maintenance-related activities.
Skills & Experience Required:
1. Recognised and validated maintenance engineering qualification or certificate training to NVQ Level 3 standard.
2. Breathing Apparatus.
3. Fire Fighting.
4. Full working knowledge of all current manufacturing and maintenance engineer legislation.
5. A good understanding of Lean maintenance and TPM.
6. Good understanding of current legislation in terms of Health, Safety, and Environment.
7. Electrical knowledge.
