Project Engineer / Head Office in Bury St Edmunds (UK Travel) / Salary £30,000 – £40,000 (Negotiable) Position 1 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our client’s engineering team. This role involves traveling across the UK to manage multiple site operations, ensuring teams are fully equipped and projects run smoothly within deadlines. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee multiple sites, ensuring teams have the necessary tools, equipment, and materials. • Liaise with onsite contacts to order materials and consumables for projects. • Complete project documentation and ensure accurate and timely reporting. • Read and interpret engineering drawings and produce progress report charts. • Communicate effectively with engineers, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth project execution. • Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of plant room installations, including heat and steam systems. • Oversee or directly manage M&E or steam system installations. The successful Project Engineer will have proven experience in the M&E or steam industry, with a strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings. A valid CSCS Gold Card or a minimum Black Card is required. Project Engineer will hold excellent communication skills are essential for effectively liaising with suppliers, engineers, and customers. Additionally, the candidate must hold an engineering diploma or possess equivalent qualifications and experience. Full time permanent position standard hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM – 4:30 PM. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (extra day per year up to 5 years). Overtime: • 1-5 hours on weekends paid as 5 hours. • Over 6 hours paid as 10 hours. • Travel costs covered after 1 hour of driving (paid hourly rate for travel time). • Overnight stays: £35 inconvenience payment, plus hotel, dinner, and breakfast covered.
