The Role:
As Head of Biology, you will:
1. Lead and manage the Biology department, ensuring outstanding teaching and learning at KS3, KS4, and KS5.
2. Develop and deliver a stimulating and progressive curriculum that fosters a love for Biology and scientific inquiry.
3. Mentor and support staff within the department, promoting professional growth and excellence.
4. Use data-driven strategies to monitor student progress and implement effective interventions.

6. Collaborate with senior leadership and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven leader who:
1. Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Biology or a closely related subject.
2. Has a proven track record of excellent teaching and improving student outcomes.
3. Demonstrates strong leadership and organizational skills, with experience in curriculum development and team management.
4. Is passionate about Biology and inspiring curiosity and critical thinking in students.
5. Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to collaborative working.
