As part of the long-term strategic development of the UK company we are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our small dynamic team. Electrician The role will include installation, service and repair of feed systems, camera systems and wireless networks on aquaculture sites and service/maintenance of the same equipment in our workshop. Essential skills – qualified 18th Edition Wiring Regs, Inspection & Testing of Installations and experience with 3-phase installations and equipment. A good working knowledge of electrical and electronic systems. Knowledge and understanding of PLC based systems. An understanding of IT networking, troubleshooting and support would also be of benefit. The successful candidates will provide day to day technical support and advice for our systems and will also help to promote the company and the wide range of products we offer. In fulfilling this role, you will be required to complete general admin duties such as risk assessments, timesheets, customer quotes etc while adhering to various company policies/procedures. Good communication skills, being self-motivated, willingness to learn, self-reliance and prepared to work flexibly to meet the demands of the job are also required. There is a requirement for travel to various sites, including locations in Orkney, Mainland, Western Isles and Ireland. Sometimes this travel will be at short-notice, you will also be required to provide on-call cover over weekends as part of a rota system.
