Following separation from a FTSE 250 Group, Fastmarkets is looking to build its in-house tax function to develop and enhance its tax strategy, policies and processes during a period of exciting and ambitious growth. Key to the success of this role will be the delivery of a high-quality programme of annual tax compliance and supporting the Group Tax Manager to ensure the efficient and effective management of the Group’s tax affairs.
Principal Accountabilities
Compliance
* Responsible for the preparation of the Group’s Indirect Tax Returns for all companies in the Group.
* Responsible for preparing the information required by the Group’s external tax advisors to prepare the annual corporation tax returns for all companies in the Group.
* Responsible for the accurate monthly reconciliation of the Group’s Indirect, Current and Deferred Tax GL accounts.
* Responsible for monitoring the Group’s corporation tax payment obligations and to calculate and propose accurate payments to minimise interest and penalties.
* Responsible for preparing the UK Group’s PSA.
* Support the Group Tax Manager in preparing responses to the Tax Authority enquiries.
Management of Tax Accounting
* Support the Group Tax Manager in preparing the annual Group tax accounting disclosures and posting the required journals on a monthly basis.
* To work with the Group Tax Manager in preparation of the tax figures for budgets and all reforecast exercises.
Transfer pricing
* Support the Group Tax Manager in calculating and preparing the monthly transfer pricing journals.
Other
* Create and manage a global tax compliance calendar to monitor all filing and payment deadlines.
* Provide advice on tax matters as and when required.
* To maintain, update and write tax manuals as applicable to the Group.
* To provide timely and accurate responses to tax related questions from the business.
