Our client is a Freight Forwarding company based in Ipswich. They are looking to increase their customs department due to company growth by taking on an additional Customs Entry Clerk.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years previous experience within the industry and have customs experience. Knowledge of CDS system would be essential and knowledge of Cargowise system would be preferred.
Candidates must also have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, be computer literate with a use of various systems including Microsoft excel, Outlook and Teams.
Duties would include:
* Collating customs and shipping paperwork
* Advising customers on charges payable, arranging payment and release
* Handling clearances via any required mode of transport from start to finish
* Providing excellent customer service
* Ensuring customs compliance is maintained
