We are seeking an enthusiastic General Practitioner to join our established team and be a part of a Practice that really cares and makes a difference within the community.
We are looking for a minimum of 6 sessions and may be able to offer 8.
Earnswood Medical Centre is situated in a modern, purpose-built Health Centre serving approximately 17,000 patients. The practice is located in Crewe, Cheshire.
Main duties of the job
In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care. Normal duties include:
1. Surgery consultations and queries
2. On-call clinics
3. Telephone consultations
4. Signing repeat prescriptions
5. Patient test results, referral letters, and correspondence
Additional responsibilities include:
1. Recording clear and contemporaneous I.T.-based consultation notes
2. Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possible)
3. Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety, QOF, and PCN DES
4. Contributing to evaluation/audit and clinical standard setting within the organisation
5. Attending training, Practice Meetings, and events organised by the practice or other agencies, where appropriate

We have 6 partners, 4 salaried GPs, 4 ACPs, a Clinical Pharmacy team, Practice Nurse Team, a Paramedic, MSK practitioners, a Social Prescriber, and an in-house counsellor, all supported by an experienced management team.
Job responsibilities
We are looking to recruit a 6 session salaried General Practitioner working closely to the BMA model contract for SGPs. Salaried GPs are encouraged to participate in learning and training and multidisciplinary audit. GPs will typically work with a mix of pre-booked and on-call duty days with full professional support from the team at all times.

Experience
* Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
* Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)
* On NHS England medical performers list
* Enhanced DBS check
* UK driving license
* Current CPR certificate
* Evidence of continued professional development

* Inclusion on the Performers List
