Job Title: Financial Accountant
Location: Guildford/ hybrid – We are working in a hybrid model and there is a requirement for the candidate to attend the Guildford office approximately 1 day per week.
This role sits within the Financial Control team at Digital Intelligence, encompassing control over day-to-day transactions, Balance sheet, Actuals Reporting, and Statutory Accounts. Financial Control also drives the statutory simplification process as well as providing input into Acquisitions and Divestments.
The role will focus on the financial management of Overseas Entities, the integrity of Accounting Ledgers across a range of areas, and the review of the HFM Reporting into BAE Systems.
What you’ll be doing
1. Ownership of Financial Actuals of various companies including monthly reporting and Statutory Accounts.
2. Ownership of International audits including relationships with local Accounting, Tax, or Audit firms.
3. Review and challenge of Business Unit Accounting.
4. Review of HFM Submission into BAE Systems to ensure accuracy of internal reporting.
5. Managing the integrity of the accounting ledgers to ensure compliance with IFRS and the BAES Finance Policies Manual.
6. Delivery of ad hoc projects and process improvements including Entity Rationalisation.
Your skills and experiences
1. Qualified or Nearly Qualified Accountant.
2. Statutory Accounts and the Statutory Audit process.
3. Accounting under IFRS.
4. Good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
5. Excellent attention to detail and strive for delivery excellence.
6. A flexible and collaborative approach.
