Business Support and Administration Officer needed in Loughborough, £11.44ph PAYE – Reference: OR5676
30 Hours Per Week
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide administrative and general support (including highly sensitive and confidential work) to the Head of Service, including diary management, arranging meetings, updating records and producing correspondence.
* Develop and maintain relevant web and intranet information.
* Co-ordinate and book training sessions and events for senior managers relating predominately to Resilience but may include other appropriate training.
* Undertake work ancillary to the business dealt with by committees, sub-committees, partnerships and working groups without supervision and undertaking related research.
* Assist with administrative cover for the legal services team.
* Assist with compilation, publication and maintenance of the Electoral Register including the Absent Voters lists, in accordance with current regulations.
* To assist with the maintenance of the electoral registration database, including data from applications and administering changes to records.
* Assist with the organisation and arrangements for all work necessary to ensure the proper conduct of Borough, Parish, County, Police & Crime Commissioner, UK Parliamentary Elections, and all referendums.
* Assist with the preparation of documents and stationery required for proceedings at all electoral events, including but not limited to Ballot Boxes, Poll Cards and opening of Postal Votes.
This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
