We are working with a well-established aerospace manufacturer that designs, manufactures, and assembles precision-forged and machined components at a fully integrated UK facility. With over seventy years of industry leadership, they continue to set new standards through investment and innovation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join a forward-thinking company that holds AS9100 and NADCAP accreditations and is renowned for delivering high-quality components to exacting industry standards.
The Role
As Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing production operations, ensuring efficient manufacturing processes, and driving continuous improvement. You will lead a team, manage resources, and ensure adherence to strict aerospace quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets and quality standards are met.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing production team.
* Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and reduce waste.
* Ensure compliance with AS9100, NADCAP, and other aerospace quality and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to optimise production processes.
* Monitor KPIs and drive operational improvements to enhance productivity.
* Oversee production schedules and resource allocation to meet customer demands.
* Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Manufacturing Manager or similar role within aerospace or precision engineering.
* Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Experience working to AS9100, NADCAP, and strict customer quality standards.
* Excellent leadership skills with a track record of driving performance and team engagement.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach to manufacturing challenges.
* Proficiency in production planning, resource management, and process optimisation.
